About MenofBACA.com

In 1960, the decision to form an organization, which would make a return contribution to the community from which we had come, became known as MEN OF BACA (Bronze Association for Cultural Advancement). Therefore, this group of community concerned men, all graduates of Cheyney University and members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, took its first step toward fulfilling its mission: |
“To offer services to the community in any area in which we are qualified and prepared to serve.” Our chosen colors became red and black and our Coat of Arms, heraldically, connotes the mission and purposes of our organization. Befitting our pledge to youth, alma mater and community, BACA continues to seek out youth who are committed to study at historically African-American colleges and universities especially Cheyney University. |
Over the years BACA has provided hundreds of thousands of dollars to Students attending colleges/universities throughout the United States. In addition to colleges/universities, BACA also raises and distributes funds to promote the well being of the African American Communities economically, spiritually, socially and politically, allowing several community-based organizations to prosper from BACA endeavors. The primary source of revenue to support BACA’s endeavors, are generated through monthly fundraising efforts. Funds are also donated generously through a select group of corporate sponsors.
